What to Expect

Visiting a church for the first time can come with a lot of questions. At Maranatha Baptist Fellowship, we want your first visit to be comfortable and welcoming.

When you join us, you can expect a friendly congregation, worship centered on Christ, and biblical teaching grounded in God's Word.

Our worship service begins with the whole church family together for a time of worship through music. On most Sundays, after our first song, we spend a few moments in silent preparation, setting aside the busyness and distractions of the week and preparing our hearts and minds to hear from God's Word.

Following worship through music, children are dismissed to Kids Church while the main service continues.

What About My Kids?

Children are an important part of our church family. During our Sunday morning worship service, families begin together in the sanctuary for worship through music. After worship, children are dismissed to Kids Church while the main service continues.

We also offer Sunday School beginning at 9:00 AM and children's ministries throughout the week, including AWANA.

Children Belong Here

At Maranatha, we believe children are part of the church family, not a distraction from it. We love having them worship with us.

If your little one wiggles, whispers, laughs, gets excited, or cries, please don't feel embarrassed or think you need to leave. Those sounds remind us that God has blessed our church with children and families.

We want parents to be able to worship without worrying that their children must be perfectly quiet or perfectly still. Bring them. Let them worship with you. Let them see you sing, pray, listen, and grow in your faith.

When worship through music concludes, children are welcome to join Kids Church, but until then, they belong right here with all of us.

Plan Your Visit

We'd love to have you join us this Sunday. Maranatha Baptist Fellowship is located at 4935 SW Burlingame Rd. in Topeka. There's no need to let us know you're coming—just come as you are. We look forward to meeting you.

Parking & Entrance

Parking is available around the church, with entrances to the parking lot from both SW Burlingame Rd. and SW 49th St.

Most visitors will find the main entrance on the northwest side of the building, facing the neighboring field. Look for the covered drop-off area and the main doors at the top of the stairs.

Additional parking is available on the southwest side of the building, where you may also enter through the lower-level double doors.

Accessibility

Accessible parking is available near the main entrance, immediately beside the covered drop-off area. Additional accessible parking is available near the lower-level entrance on the southwest side of the building.

Our building does not have an elevator, but a stair lift is available inside the building for those who need assistance moving between levels.
